The film reflects on the concept and popularity of the beach, as a place representing a culture and a country, with the help of archive materials from private families who documented their holidays on Italian coasts from the 40s to the 80s.

Emma Onesti is an emerging italian film director and artist. She made a documentary on the Russian sculptress Tatiana Brodatch which participated in the Filmmaker Festival 2022 Prospettive, under 35 competition (Milan, Italy) and won several awards in subsequent festivals (Chameleon Festival, Vertigo Film Fest, Prisma…) She has recently completed his first feature-length documentary on a family theme, selected at Filmmaker 2023 where it won first prize in the young talents category.
