Frédéric and Suzanne buy their first VHS camcorder in 1989. The camera becomes a witness to their daily life, family moments and holidays with friends. A few years later, Tim, their child, is born. While their relationship slowly deteriorates, Suzanne embarks on a hopeless quest against oblivion and decides to film her relatives.

Alexis Diop studied Film theory at the University Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle. In 2016, he directed the short film Against the Wall (distribution: IndiePix/Amazon), selected for the Berlin Experimental Film Festival, Bucharest ShortCut Cinefest and Cannes Short Film Corner. In February 2019, his video Upcycling Temari was shown at the MOCO in Montpellier. He concurrently works for production companies and as an assistant director for Mati Diop, Bertrand Bonello and Nadav Lapid.
