Alexander-Sandro Japaridze was born in Tiflis, (Georgia) 1988. During 2006-2010 years he studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University in Tiflis, (Georgia) at the faculty of Cinematography. His major was Film directing, Cinematography and movie editing. In 2010 Sandro was awarded with German Academic Exchange Service fellowship (DAAD) to further deepen his qualification in Kassel, Germany. During his studies Sandro attended several master workshops with famous Filmmakers, such as: Mike Leigh, Volker Schlöndorff, Otar Iosseliani, Eldar Ryazanov, Thomas Mauch and Krzysztof Zanussi. Since 2010 Sandro lives in Germany, (currently in Berlin). He has experience of working with international film crews, as well as several individual projects, working in documentary and feature film, as a Film Director and Cinematographer.
