In this hands-on workshop exploring moving images, participants will experiment with colour, light, sound and editing through the use of 16mm film, Super 8 film and overhead projectors. Working with fragments of Super 8 footage — including animated films, cartoons and found images from different periods — children will discover how moving images can be transformed, combined and reimagined. Through play and experimentation, they will explore how light, projection and sound can create new stories, characters and atmospheres. Along the way, unexpected accidents and creative discoveries become part of the process, as the group collaborates to create a short collective film-performance, bringing together image, sound and imagination in real time. A playful journey into the magic of analogue cinema, where experimentation, collaboration and discovery take centre stage. At the end of the workshop, we will screen the film created during the session.
