End of cycle, Casa Musgal will soon have a new owner. But the change of changes occurs in the unexpected dance participated in its emptying. Dance choreographed by the starting time, but also by the emergence of the absence-presence pair. And, with it, the moving thing of the images is revealed. Thus, unexpected spaces to live are inaugurated. Here, in the end, are new reception possibilities.

Born in Peso da Régua in 1991 and of Angolan descent, he lives and works in Lisbon. He attended the Design and Multimedia Communication course in Peso da Régua, the Technological Specialization Course in Photography and Video, in Castelo Branco, and ESART — Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas. In Lisbon, he studied at Ar.Co — Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual in the department of Cinema — Moving Image, having consolidated his authorial skills. He collaborated in several independent films, in editing, directing and photography. In his work process he uses several devices, from the moving image to photography. The oneiric fictional dimension referring to the relationship between sound exploration and visual capture, reports to a mystery inherent in his work. He carried out several artistic residencies, seminars and workshops from creative writing to photography and directing, in the desire for continuous expansion of his practice, crossing different disciplines and methods. He is simultaneously dedicated to cinema programming, curating independent artists, namely at the independent space Cosmos.cac., in Lisbon. As part of its programming, it has also shown its films in public sessions. The highlights are: “Cinemateca”, “Cosmos” and “Fuso”. Being in constant collaboration with several artists, musicians and directors, his work is developed in a collective way without losing the individual and authorial focus. His dedication and attention to contemporary Portuguese cinema stands out, in the awareness and sensitivity that led him to create spaces to present and experience it, knowing the means at his disposal, its capabilities and its limitations.
