A re-edit of the super 8 films that my grandfather shot in Mozambique in the 60s. My voice-over comments on how life was back there when Mozambique and Portugal could, at times, seem so similar… as if one emulated the other.

Paula Albuquerque, PhD Candidate in Artistic Research at ASCA, University of Amsterdam. Born in the UK, lives and works in the Netherlands. She has studied Audiovisual Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and completed her Master of Fine Arts Degree at the Sandberg Institute. Albuquerque’s experimental film-based artwork has been presented worldwide within the context of group exhibitions in galleries, live-editing performances in digital arts festivals and film festivals.
