Tami, a newcomer to the online 3d world of second life, approaches owners of virtual second-life homes in an attempt to re-discover her own lost home. Blending second- life and real-life footage, Tami explores the experience of home in the virtual era, and the ability to capture it on film.
Tami, born in 1983 in tel-aviv, israel, majored in film studies in high school and at the tel-aviv university, and graduated from both with honors. While practicing both directing and scriptwriting, tami focused mainly on video editing, working in various fields - documentaries, prime time television shows, music videos, fiction films and others. In 2007 she was awarded a scholarship of the america-israel cultural foundation in the field of editing. Editing the award-winning german feature film unbelehrbar while still in israel led tami to move to berlin in 2010. In 2013 tami completed her ma studies in visual and media anthropology in the freie universität berlin. As part of her studies she began directing and editing her own filmic works. Tami now works in berlin as freelance film director, editor and visual anthropologist.
