Matthew and Kate have been living in the Belarusian countryside for the last few years. Then something happens in their lives, which makes them re-consider their relationship dramatically. The past and the present are bound up in one complex story, where heroes lose sleep, eject each other from their house, then embrace each other, starting the new loop of their relationship. In this particular period of time, their friends from Berlin come to visit them.

Dasha Demura was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1984. She graduated from the Belarusian State University, faculty of Philosophy, major in Psychology, and then received her master’s degree in sociology of arts in the European Humanities University in Vilnius. Since 2012, Dariya has been working as a photographer. In 2017 she graduated at the Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov School of Documentary Film and Theatre. Hopscotch is the director's debut film.
