The Albanian transition has compelled Loro Shestani to give up: his wife is dead, his daughter, a refugee in Italy, has forgotten her roots and the sea does not offer fish any more. Loro has passed his middle-age and understands that his life is in vain, he cannot cope with this new world. The pigeons are the only companions of his solitude.

Sokol Keraj was born in Lac, Albânia in 1976. He graduated Film Direction from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest, Romania. The he pursued a Master in Film and Advertising Aesthetics at the same university. Since 2009 he is a doctoral student in Media Studies at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. From 2004 to 2009 he taught at several universities in Bogota, Columbia.
