Efim Graboy, born in 1989 in Kazan, Russia, immigrated to Israel at age 10. He graduated from Tel Aviv University film school. His short films won multiple international awards. In 2019, Valley of the Rulers was nominated for the IDA Best Short Film Award. His debut feature, The War of Raya Sinitsina, premiered at Full Frame and won nine international awards, including Best Directing and Cinematography at DocAviv. He also received prizes from the Israeli Documentary Association and a Special Prize for High Artistic Achievements in Documentary, awarded by the Russian Documentary Film and Television Guild.
