GIULIA COSENTINO
Through the editing of the shootings of a single filmmaker who portrays his wife and life, the woman narrates herself being in opposition to her husband’s world, a militant always far from home. A reworking of female status as a political act to tell that love is an act of acceptance of differences and that personal memories are part of the collective history.
Film Director and film researcher, Giulia Cosentino was born in 1990 in Catania, Sicily. She graduated in cinema and visual arts in Rome and she get an international master in Audio-visual and Cinema Studies at La Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris and the Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, with a specialization in archive research. Currently, she is based between Rome and Palermo, working as assistant director and collaborating with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Sede Sicilia. In 2020, she worked on one of the episodes of the collective film Le storie che saremo (the history we will be) called Perchè scappi produced by Ginko Film
