"I always needed fiction to make sense of reality". A cinematic image fills the void left by the death of a loved one. The film is composed entirely of clips from film noir movies. The cinephile director shows how her grandfather’s memory mixes with the flow of film noir images she sees every day. Just Like the Films is about loss, loneliness and the love for the movies.

Sara Santos (1992), filmmaker. With a master’s degree in Documentary Film from ESMAD - Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design (2018). She has been building her gaze as a cinematographer and camera operator in documentary projects: films and TV series. More recently, she created a media laboratory called emerGENTE (emergent), where teenagers develop their thinking through the viewing and practicing of cinema and photography.
