Graduated in film direction by Darcy Ribeiro School, Douglas Soares graduated in History of Art at UERJ. Did tour of achievement for creators: Nelson Pereira dos Santos and Ribeiro Allan. Directed the short film “My aunt, my cousin,” a documentary that won several awards and has participated in 20 festivals in Brazil. Co-directed the Award Winning “The lady of Peixoto” in 2011. Besides being a producer and assistant director of the film “This love that consumes us,” directed by Allan Ribeiro and displayed in Brazilian and International festivals in 2012 and 2013. The your last film “Tales of the Tide,” was selected in the edict sec / 2010-2011 RioFilme argument, being chosen as Best Short Documentary and Best Soundtrack at the 46th festival de Brasília in Brazilian cinema (2013). As a writer, makes the short “After nine,” “Para Vista with Heaven” and “The Club” as well as the feature film “A Man Only Only” argument.
