Artem Volchkov was born on January 22, 1988, in Lytkarino, Moscow region. Following high school graduation, from 2005 to 2008, he studied at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI). In 2008 Artem applied at the State Institute of Cinemato-graphy (VGIK) and was admitted to the film directing faculty, Abdrashitov’s workshop.
