In the 1950s, my grandmother's sister moved to Germany with her husband. The photographs she was sending documented their new life in the West.

Nikolina Bogdanović was born 1986 in Zagreb. She holds a M.A. in Philosophy, German Studies and Dramaturgy. She currently works as a screenwriter and dramaturg in film and theatre. The Place From Where I Write You Letters is her first work as a director.
