It is a film about a family ( Mother, Child, Grandmother ) that, once a year, washes clothes in the Mondego River. Based on the poem “For those who wash on the river banks”, the viewer is confronted with a conflit and permanent friction between the characters, especially Mother and Child.

The musician Bruno Simões and the actor Paulo Lima are two friends who share a deep passion for cinema. Both have directed the short film “Corações, caras não”, and also the intimate documentary about the band Depeche Mode, an award winning project by Rádio 90 FM. “Tu que lavas no rio” is their last short film directed in 2010. Currently they are preparing a medium length film “Depois fazemos contas”.
