One day they changed my hip with a prosthesis. Between bed and window with a lot of hospital in the middle, I started building a bridge with the world through this writing that is a branch of another larger one and also mine. I commited this videographic notebook as a gift, even if only I could understand that. And I coupled it with the writting of a book - "Quebra de Linha" - whose last poem, "Quebra de Encanto" was carved into the heart of the images.

Regina Guimarães, aka Corbe, was born in Porto in 1957. Coupled with her poems, published in rare confidential issues, she has developed work in the areas of Theater, Translation, Song, Dramaturgy, Education through Art, Critic, Video, Screenplay, Production. She was a teacher at the Faculty in ESMAE and ESAD. She was director of the film magazine A Grande Ilusão, president and founder of the Association Os Filhos de Lumière, permanent programmer of the cycle Cinema Sabor at Serralves Museum. She joined the colective that, along with other reflection and creation activities, published the PREC newspaper. She is co-founder of Mario Dionísio Centre – Casa da Achada. With Ana Deus, she founded the band Três Tristes Tigres. She worked for other bands, including the Osso Vaidoso and Clã. Conducted numerous experiments around the spoken and sung word. Organizes, from eight years now, LEITURA FURIOSA Porto, meetings between writers and people angry with reading. She has oriented workshops on writing (almost 90 works, some of which in partnership with Saguenail) and initiation to the movies. She has conducted an extensive video work in the form of 'Notebooks', which has been the target of some retrospectives. She aspires to be in any place where there is a fair fight to fight. She lives and works with Saguenail since 1975. Hélastre is the sign of their common work.
